Pet-Related Resolutions: Organization

Part 3 of a 3-Part Series

Several weeks ago, we began a three-part series designed to help you keep your pet-related New Year’s Resolutions. In part one, we discussed resolutions relative to your pet’s diet. Part two tackled exercise-related resolutions. Finally, we wrap up our series by discussing ways to organize everything to get your pet off to a great start in 2019.

1. Clear clutter

The first step to organizing anything is to get rid of excess stuff. Netflix star, Marie Kondo, the quintessential queen of organization, suggests that “unless something sparks joy in your heart, you should get rid of it.” When it comes to dog and cat accessories, this might be easier said than done. After all; just because you aren’t attached to your feline’s favorite catnip carrier or your puppy’s first rubber bone doesn’t mean your pet would be okay with having them tossed into the trash. However, old toys harbor bacteria and germs. So, stash anything you can and replace it with a fresh, clean toy that will be healthier for your pet and more attractive in your home. If your pet doesn’t miss the item after 24 hours, feel free to toss it. With people and pet-related things, when in doubt, throw it out.

2. Refresh & Renew

Has your dog’s bowl started accumulating rust or oxidizing? Does your cat’s scratching post look like something that belongs in a horror movie? January is the perfect month to replace haggard items with clean, healthy, eco-friendly alternatives. For example, our 2-in-1 pet dish is portable microwave and dishwasher safe dog or cat bowl, which is perfect for home or travel. It snaps together for easy travel and doesn't absorb odors. The best features of this Eco-Friendly Pet Dish are that it's BPA free, non-toxic and made out of plant-based material. So, it is completely biodegradable! Enjoy peace-of-mind, knowing your pets’ food and water are served in a bowl that’s healthy, clean and cute!

3. Fengshui Today

A great option for maximum fengshui is our attractive Kung Fu Paw Cat Scratching Post. This non-toxic, easy-to-assemble, biodegradable lightweight product will add to your décor rather than becoming an ugly but necessary eyesore, like most cat-scratching posts. The whole idea behind refreshing and renewing is to include pet products in the overall design and function of your home. Just because your furry friend has won over your heart, that doesn’t mean ugly products have to take over the interior design of your home.
