Healthy Meatball Dog Treat Recipe

These meatballs are completely wholesome that even you can eat them! Kibble doesn't contain wholesome ingredients. With these meatballs, you know exactly what's in it, along with all the vegetables! Whole foods are easier for your dogs to digest. This means less problems, less trips to the vet and less pills.

A great trick with these meatballs is that you can hide pills inside them. Your dog will be none the wiser.

Turkey is a lean white meat that helps dogs build muscle. It's also a highly digestible protein source for dogs. Turkey is a great alternative for dogs with food sensitivities or food allergies.

Red bell pepper is the most nutrition option. They have the highest concentration of vitamin C & A. The riper the bell pepper, the higher the nutrient content. 

Broccoli is high is fiber and vitamin C. It's also low in fat! Broccoli is a good source of protein and contents potassium, minerals and other nutrients!

Zucchini is full of nutrients! It has a lot of vitamins and minerals. They're packed with antioxidants which are plant compounds that help protect the body from unstable molecules that can cause harm to your dog.

Carrots are an excellent source of vitamin A, potassium, fiber and other vitamins. They can also help canine with bowel movement irregularity.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup red bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup carrots
  • 1/4 cup broccoli
  • 1/4 cup of zucchini

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Cut red bell pepper, carrots, broccoli and zucchini into very small pieces.
  2. Mix together your chopped vegetables and ground turkey until fully combined.
  3. Once combined, throw meatball mix into the bowl to tenderize and stick together better.
  4. Boil a pot of water.
  5. Take a small piece of meatball mix and roll into a ball.
  6. Place meatballs in the pot of boiling water.
  7. You'll know the meatballs are cooked when they've floated to the top.
  8. Once fully cooked, take meatballs out of the pot and leave them to completely cool down before serving to your pets.
